Today we're going to be taking a look at part #YR333Y. This is the Yates Y-style yellow bow stop for boat trailers. It's designed to be a replacement for the bow stop on your boat trailer. It's going to keep your boat's bow in place when it's loaded on your trailer. It's got the nice Y-shape design so it's going to contour to your boat's hull to help cradle it. It's going to prevent the boat from hitting the trailer winch during loading.
It's going to provide a nice soft spot for the bow to bump up against at the front of your trailer. This is constructed of a thermal plasticized rubber so it's not going to leave any marks. It's not going to scratch. It's going to be stronger and more durable than traditional rubber. It's softer and more pliant than polyurethane. This product is made in the USA.
You see back here, this is where it's going to attach to the shaft. If we take a measurement of the diameter of that hole, that's going to give us a measurement of 1/2 inch so this is designed to work with 1/2 inch diameter shafts. The span on this unit, measuring from this point to this point here, that's going to give us a measurement of about 6 inches. Then the base dimensions, this down here is going to give us a width of about 2-3/4 of an inch. This portion right here is going to measure about 3 inches wide. That's going to do it for today's review of part #YR333Y.

I bought this for my 1995 Yamaha Waveraider, I put it on a new trailer with a black roller that was marking up the nose. This bow stop with it’s wide v is a perfect fit for it’s wide nose and leaves no marks. I received it right away and etrailer was again so easy to order from.

It’s exactly doing what I needed on my trailer. The bow of my boat is rounded and not narrow as some boats are. Have taken boat off trailer twice now so far no problems.

- Will CE Smith Y-Style Bow Stop Work as Replacement for Roller With 1/2" ShaftSince the diameter of the shaft is the same at 1/2" you can use the 4-1/4" Span CE Smith Y-Style Bow Stop for Boat Trailers # CE29554. We do have another option that is wider, and though it isn't amber, it is yellow, which is the 6-1/2" Span Yates Y-Style Bow Stop for Boat Trailers # YR333Y. We have the Yates Rubber stop, part # YR333Y, that's made of a non-marking thermoplastic so you won't have to worry about the marks. However, it's larger than your stop with a span of 6-1/2 inches and a base that measures 3 inches long by 2-7/8 inches wide.

view full answer... - Troubleshooting Smudge from Yates Bow StopSince your Yates Y-Style Bow Stop # YR4Y22-3 leaves a smudge mark, you can use marine grade bunk carpet like # FCR8008 in between to assist. There isn't a glue specifically made for that type of application so I recommend using a solvent based contact cement. There are some non-marking bow stops, but the Yates Y-Style Bow Stop for Boat Trailers - TPR - 6-1/2" Span - 1/2" Shaft - Yellow # YR333Y isn't just an easy swap.

The closest Y-Style bow stop we have available to your current unit is the Yates # YR4Y22-3 which features a 4 inch width between the "Y" contours. We do have the Boat Trailer Rubber Y-Stop, 3" x 3 " by Dutton-Lainson # DL21732, the Yates Y-Style Bow Stop for Boat Trailers # YR333Y, and the Yates Y-Style Bow Stop for Boat Trailers - Heavy-Duty Rubber - 6-1/2" Span - 1/2" Shaft # YR6Y33-4 in addition to the # 862 you mentioned.
